Twin Hearts Meditation
A person doing the Twin Hearts Meditation(Feb 08 021 Edit)

You can imagine a river flowing from a source and spreading to different rivulets. Imagine that the rivulets support the life of crops, people living nearby. You would know that if the river stops flowing, the lives of people, animals, and crops nearby would be difficult. You would also know that if the water were to flow too much, the flood would sweep away life.

Example of rivers and villages.

Our world is divided into two parts. Visible and Invisible. We are aware of the visible world. We can see, touch, feel, this world. We know laws of physics apply in this real world. You can expect an object you throw to fall down. The law is absolute.

Likewise, there is another world, the invisible world, and it has some of its own laws. In their sense, they are absolute. Since they are invisible, it’s easy to dismiss they won’t exist but denial of the sun doesn’t mean the sun doesn’t exist. Twin Hearts Meditation deals with this invisible world.

Going back to the example of the river, there is a source of the river from where this invisible water flows from somewhere and spreads into different smaller rivulets. These rivulets provide water into different areas of our life: physical health, emotional health, creativity, love, creativity, income, and finances, etc. If the flow from the source of this river is sufficient, all our rivulets get sufficient water and corresponding areas of our life will become better.

This invisible river water is called Energy. The rivulets of energy go into points or centers of our invisible body are called chakras. Each chakra corresponds with the certain qualities we see in the real world. Let’s say a person is financially prosperous. It means the chakra of financial prosperity is provided with sufficient energy. If someone is highly intelligent then it means the chakra of intelligence is provided with more energy.

Twin Hearts Meditation taps into the power of chakras and brings more energy into your system, therefore providing sufficient water to all your villages i.e. providing sufficient energy to all your chakras.

For now, all you need to understand is there are chakras which are like points in our invisible body that govern the real-life aspects of our life.

Among the several chakras, there are two that we deal with during the meditation on Twin Hearts Meditation.

  1. Heart Chakra (located at the center of your chest)
  2. Crown Chakra (located at the top of your crown)

During this meditation on Twin Hearts, we have to focus on these two chakras and continue with the meditation. As we meditate, a great amount of energy comes into our invisible body and part of it sweeps away all unnecessary thoughts, emotions, worries, etc. We will also be energized with peace, stability, financial prosperity, creativity, good physical health, etc.

Keep in mind that the benefits experienced will be obvious in the long term. How long? Depends upon the person. Some find it instantly blissful. The emotional benefits are obvious and can quickly be experienced. With regards to finances, health, creativity, etc, it is hard to give an exact time. It’s like nourishing your garden on a regular basis and over time you get to see fully grown happy plants. Stick with the meditation for experiencing the greater intensity of benefits.

How to Meditate on Twin Hearts

It is very important to learn the steps for this meditation. It is advanced and powerful and comes with a specific set of instructions that should be followed carefully.

  • You will be required to do some stretching exercises before the meditation begins. During the meditation, a great amount of high-quality energy comes into your system. Doing specific exercises before the meditation cleanses the overall part of your invisible body. Therefore, high-quality energy can properly go into your system. Exercising before meditation is like cleaning your bowl before eating the food. It’s necessary. I have attached the link to the exercise video at the bottom.
  • The meditation is done with music in the background. I have attached the link to the music at the bottom. First and foremost, the meditation begins with a prayer or an invocation. The founder of the meditation mentioned that whenever we are doing advanced meditation techniques, we need to ask for divine help and protection(not his exact words but what I remember). Whether you believe in prayer or not, you just mentally invoke what the narrator in the music says.
  • Connect your tongue to the palate. Curl your tongue and touch the roof of your mouth. Keep this connection throughout the whole 21 minutes of guided meditation. It is very possible. You can do it.
  • Focus on your heart center, and imagine a happy moment(special moments, surprises, marriages, gifts, buying something, etc). This is equivalent to providing water to your village of heart. Try to re-experience that moment. You can also say words like Love, compassion, joy, mercy, happiness, bliss, etc to your heart center. You can also tap your heart center with your left hand(I, the writer of this blog, don’t know if the tapping is official instruction. If you are unsure, just imagine a happy moment).
Focus on your Heart
  • Focus on your crown center, and imagine another happy moment. You can say words of love to your crown center. Or you can tap your crown with the fingers of your right hand 2–3 times(I, the writer of this blog, don’t know if the tapping is official instruction. If you are unsure, just imagine a happy moment).
Crown Chakra
  • Raise your arms in a blessing position at the point of the chest, with hands facing outwards. Imagine the earth in front of you at the size of a small ball. Focus on your heart and mind say what the music says. After a couple of minutes, focus on your crown, keep your arms raised, and mentally say what the music says. Then you will be asked to focus on both of the centers at the same time. Focus on your crown and heart at the same time. Keep imagining the earth. Maintain the connection of the tongue to the palate throughout the whole meditation and mentally repeat what the music says.
Raise arms, Imagine light going from arms to the earth
  • After a while, keep your arms down. Imagine a point of light or star in your crown. The music will chant long ”OM” 9 times. Mentally chant this OM. While chanting, focus on the chant. After chanting each OM, try to be aware of the stillness or silence. The pattern should be like OM… focus on stillness… OM…. focus on silence… OM…. focus on silence… repeated 9 times. After 9 OM chants, the music will temporarily stop playing. Keep focusing on the light on your crown, mentally keep chanting the mantra OM.
Chanting OM Mantra
  • After about 3 minutes of silence, you will be asked to return back to your normal awareness or consciousness. Raise your hands again, imagine earth, mentally say the words the music says. After that, imagine a point of light going down from the base of your spine and your feet. Too much water in the river causes floods and does more harm. Likewise, you gather too much energy during meditation and this final part of imagining light going down helps your invisible body get rid of excess energy.
Imagining Light going down from the base of the spine
  • The meditation will end with a thanksgiving prayer.
  • After you finish, do the same set of specific exercises. Your body has a lot of energy now and too much energy will cause you problems. Like I mentioned above, too much water causes floods. Do the exercises again.

This is the Meditation on Twin Hearts.

General Concerns

  1. Is it safe? — It is if you are eligible to do it(I’ll mention the link below to check eligibility). However, the exercises should be done before and after to prevent further problems. As long as you follow the instructions, you are safe.
  2. It looks too long and difficult to understand — It looks complex at the beginning. But it’s simple. Summary: Exercise, prayer, tongue to the palate, raise hands, and imagine the earth and bless by focusing on heart, crown, and both. Then imagine light on your crown. Be still for about 3 minutes. Imagine light going down the base of your spine and your feet. End with prayer.
  3. Does it really work? Does this invisible world really exist? — Yes. Yes, it does. It really works! And the invisible world really does exist. (If you ask, anyone can answer anything. It’s best if you try and come to your own conclusion. Do give it some time while trying before coming to a conclusion. Maybe 2–3 weeks of regular practice. If you conclude it’s ineffective after just doing it 1–2 times, you’ll only miss out. It takes some time for the seeds to grow into plants. This is even quicker. Stick with it.)
  4. What is blessing the earth thing? — Blessing the earth means imagining yellow light going from your hands to planet earth. You are basically giving good energy to earth at this point. It’s like pouring good water into the earth.
  5. Should I connect the tongue to the palate the whole time? — Yes, do it throughout the 21 min meditation.
  6. Don’t bath for about 6–10 hours after meditation. The body needs time to absorb good energy.
  7. How often should I do it? — We, regular practitioners, are recommended to do it every day. If you are committed, you can do it every day. Maximum 1 time a day. If you are not so good at doing it every day, you can do it for about 3 times a week at least.
  8. Age requirement? You have to be a minimum of 16 years old for your body to be able to handle the energy.
  9. Can I skip the exercise? — Excess of energy causes headaches, etc. Do the exercises. It takes about 5–8 minutes each time you do it. Some people do it 3 times before meditation along with more breathing exercises, etc for about 30 minutes just to prepare for the meditation. You are lucky you aren’t asked to do all that. Just do the exercise.
